Dr. McKell is the Medical Director for VIMG and also volunteers his time and services as a physician to the clinic.  A specialist in Gastroenterolgy, Dr. McKell has practiced medicine for over forty years.  Although now retired, he has worn many hats in the medical field, holding positions such as Chief of Staff, Chief GI Lab, Physician DRG Advisor and many others, as well as maintaining a private practice.  He has a history of volunteerism, founding and acting as the Medical Advisor of the Mississippi Ostomy Association.  Dr. McKell is also the author of several cookbooks and has been a Staff Writer for Mississippi Safari Magazine.  Currently, he is a columnist for Wildlife Mississippi.  Dr. McKell is married to Jackie and they have three grown children and two grandchildren.
